Traditional Heavy Duty Hinges
Our robust hinges are made out of 3/16 to 1/4 inch thick steel. They are hot forged and then hot dipped galvanized. Sizes available range from 7 inches long to massive 48 inch straps. We have hinges suitable for garden gates, driveway gates, farm field gates, barns, storage sheds, and carriage houses.
Double
Straps
Very heavy duty double straps sandwich the
wood between the straps to lock the gate at 90 degrees. Three inch
space between straps. New in 2007 "rear eye" double straps enable one to
hang large heavy gates with a space between the gate and the post as little as
one inch. The "rear eye" is available with 3" between straps or 3.5"
between straps. Ideal for heavy gates such as driveway gates, dumpster
enclosure gates, Agricultural
Gates (Instructions), and traditional English "Five Bar Gate".
Available in
18" and 24" the single strap is lighter alternative to the double strap.
It has a 3/4 eye so it can be used with all of our selections of
3/4" pins.
Old Fashioned Heavy Duty Hinges
Traditional styling, very strong, and
functional. Our best selling hinges are available in 10 lengths from seven
inches
to 48 inches. also new 12" all stainless steel version available.
12" Curved Old Fashioned Heavy Duty Hinges
Designed for use with curved top gates (either curved up or bowed downwards) this hinge dramatically expands the gate designs that can be used for a truly beautiful fence.
